Finally, the day has come where biking fans from all over Singapore can cycle till their hearts content... This is the day for NTU Bike Rally 2004! The motley crowd is made up of Ah Peks armed with racer bikes to young girls riding the trishaw type (with the carriage detached of course) bicycle.
From 8am till 530pm, we made our way from NTU -> Lim Chu Kang -> Kranji -> Yishun -> Sengkang -> Pasir Ris -> East Coast Park -> Indoor Stadium. There, we were treated to a performance by a singer from NTU talent time. But most of us were too exhausted to appreciate his singing, instead, we were sprawled all over the steps of the National Stadium, sleeping.... : p
This gruelling 100km journey was a personal test for me, it being the longest cycling trip that I made in a day. Although my ass felt like it was split in 2, but the Sports Club motto for the event came into mind: "Hurting butt it was worth it."

Still fresh at the start point... Me and Wei Ling |

Cheaters... Started at the second checkpoint, cos of a punctured tire... Justin n his ex roomie. |

My trusty bike... Never fails me when the going gets tough. I promise to oil it more often... |

Notice the difference between me and the cheaters? They are fresh, I'm not.... |

Plugged in to the music... Met another friend at the 3rd checkpoint - Wei Neng. |
From Sengkang enroute to Pasir Ris, I was overwhelmed by hunger and at this fateful bus stop, I laid down to take a nap... dreaming of nothing but chocolate bars and bananas....

Alas, the scorching sun, lack of snacks and salt water made me feel sleepy... |

Lunch point!! Finally.... my Nasi Lemak!!! |

Boss of the stragglers... I.C. for snooping out to Changi V for extra supplement after lunch. |

All the good food starting to take their toll on the cyclists... |

Behold! The finish line... Poor souls de-registering... |
